Meet the Artist
Orchid and Bee's is founded by Artist Karen V. Edwards out of Birmingham, Alabama. She studied at the University of the Cumberlands, in Williamsburg Kentucky and enjoyed graphic arts and early elementary education while there. She taught Private Art Lessons and Homeschool Co-Op classes in Southeast Kentucky before relocating to Birmingham, Alabama in 2006. Her current focus is fiber arts and painting window murals. The words she uses to describe her Art is bright, bold, vivid, and child like. She loves evoking joy, happiness, and the inner child of all those that enjoy her work.
Crochet Patterns
Karen taught herself how to crochet, design, and write patterns. She enjoys designing appliques and baby blankets and more. Her patterns are easy to follow with very detailed instructions, photos, and diagrams. Her patterns are tested and published on Ravelry, Etsy, and her on this site.
